Alpha-Paragon was founded in 2024 by Diego Núñez, an investment banker with over ten years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising across Latin America and various sectors. His vision was to create a boutique investment banking firm that delivers services with a comprehensive and holistic approach, transcending the traditional transactional model.

Diego is the founding partner of Alpha-Paragon. He has more than a decade of investment banking experience, managing transactions valued at over USD 3 billion. He has a wide-ranging industry background, with particular expertise in Financial Institutions, Fintech, IT, healthcare, infrastructure and real estate. His recent transactions include refinancing COP 16,000 million in debt for Alta Originadora, raising USD 50 million in debt for Addi, leading and executing Leschaco's acquisition of Coltrans, and leading and executing the sale of Primestone to Trilliant. Notable clients he has advised include PSP, one of Canada's largest pension funds; Leschaco, a leading global logistics company; and FDN, a Colombian development bank dedicated to financing infrastructure initiatives.​

Prior to establishing A|P, Diego was the Director of Capital Markets at Addi, a buy now, pay later (BNPL) startup in Colombia that successfully raised over USD 200 million in equity. Before that role, he was Vice President at Axia | Oaklins Colombia, an investment banking boutique focused on mid-market transactions. Diego holds bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Universidad de los Andes.
